My daughter had a birthday in October, and missed the cut off to start kindergarten by just a few weeks. She was devastated, as many of her friends were able to start school. I decided to find a really good preschool in Tacoma WA, that she would absolutely love, and take her mind off of the fact that she wasn’t in kindergarten yet.

I called and made an appointment to come by to see the school with my daughter. Our visit was wonderful, and I could see that it was so much more than just a daycare. All of the children were learning and experiencing what it would be like if they were actually in kindergarten. My daughter loved the singing time, and absolutely adored the art teacher. She talked about the school all the way home.

There was no doubt in my mind, that we would sign up for my daughter to join the preschool right away. She has been there for a few months now, and enjoys her time there so much. I know that kindergarten can’t come soon enough, but this preschool is definitely wonderful!

On my last trip to Florida, I realized that there is a vast number of things to do for entertainment in Miami. It is one of the most enjoyable cities that I have ever been to. Of course there are the things that most people would be able to think of off the top of their head. There is the beach to swim in or surf on. There are tons of malls to shop at and restaurants to dine at.

However, I like to find less conventional things to do on vacation. One of the things that I found was called The Uncover Unit. It was incredible. It was basically a live action video game with you as the center unit. I chose to “become” a zombie hunter. We went through a war torn area with zombies surprising attacking me right and left. The place looked and sounded very real. There was smoke in the air and plenty of shouting. It honestly felt like I stepped into the video game world. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

There are lots of other things to do for entertainment in Miami. Miami hosts comedy festivals in their parks. They have a sea aquarium that is great for families. They have rock concerts and art museums. It is really a great place to visit.

Every year I participate in a craft show twice during the year. I make jewelry of all types, and I make pretty good money on each piece I sell. There are several of us who are artists. About three years ago, we had a Christmas event at my friend’s house. It was a big deal! She took out all of her personal belongings, just left the furniture, and we turned the entire house into an art gallery of sorts. That’s when we found out that we could be paid well for the work we do.

The first year we had our art show outdoors, it was good, but very hot. I think we could have had more business if we had rented event tents of Chicago IL sooner. Family time is very important to us. We are all so busy with work and school throughout the week that we do not get to spend a lot of time together. We have made it a point to plan something fun that we all enjoy on Friday night. We all pitch in to make dinner and then sit around the table and talk about how our week was. After dinner is when the real fun begins. We turn the living room into a make shift casino. The table gets covered in a green blanket and our competitive game of Poker begins.

We do not ever play for real money, but candied chocolates are what we gamble with. After awhile though, the candies start melting as we pass them around. We thought it would be best to get a Poker chip set and use those during game play with a large bowl of candies in the middle for motivation. We did not want to get any plain old Poker chip set, we wanted to get them personalized! We would put our families initials on the tops of the chips with our favorite color, red, along the outside. Poker night has never been this fun before! It is our favorite part of the week.
